The Fitel S176 Fusion Splicer is a lightweight, compact and reliable solution for field splicing.

The splicer itself automatically analyzes and determines the optimum splice program for SM,MM and DSF fibers. Simply load the fiber, close the windshield and press the key to begin splicing. The windshield of the S176CR opens front to rear for easy removal and transfer of the splice to the heater. Either AC/DC converter or battery can be inserted into the main body and the detachable, wedge-shaped base tilts the splicer forward for comfortable access to the splice chamber. An optional 12V Ni-mH battery can be inserted when working in remote locations. The S176CR Fitel Fusion Splicer features a blazing fast 11-second splice time, 2000 splice memory, simultaneous X and Y views on large 5" LCD color monitor, splicing of all major fiber types and an automated splicing mode that initiates splicing as soon as the windshield is closed.
